The Credit Analyst I role supports Essex Lease Financial Corporations objectives through the review, recommendation and approval of industrial equipment finance applications. The position involves working closely with the Essex sales team, documentation specialist, and our customers to provide tailored solutions that match customer needs. This is a full-time position based in our Calgary, AB office. The position reports to the Credit Manager (AVP, Credit) as part of a collaborative team. Professional growth within the organization will be encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Review and recommend conventional and near-conventional credit applications, financial statement analysis, evaluation of equipment, evaluation of industry, and overall assessment of credit risk.
- Work closely with members of Essex’s sales and documentation teams, customers, and external sales sources.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications.
- Aid in implementing and managing credit department projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry associates.
- Aid Essex management and stakeholders in meeting corporate goals.

Required Education and Experience:
- Post-Secondary Degree in relevant field: Business Marketing, Commerce preferred but not required.
- Experience in the Equipment Finance / Leasing Industry preferred
- Competent in the use of MS Office Suite of products, specifically Excel
